Your Fitness Plan Will Free You

What is the best fitness plan for me?

This is a great question and one that anyone who wants to lose weight or get into shape should ask themselves when they first think of starting a new fitness program. Too many people are misled by all the misinformation about weight loss and often make bad choices when it comes to the fitness plans they choose to lose weight and get into shape.

The smart thing is to first decide what goal you are trying to achieve. Do you want to simply lose weight and drop that loose stomach fat? Do you want to lose weight and gain some muscle? Do you just want to tone up some loose areas that aren’t looking like they used to? Whatever your goals are, your fitness plan should match these goals.

At Motivate Fitness we have found our most successful clients are very specific with their goals and actually put them to paper. By specific, we mean don’t just say you want to lose weight. If you weigh 220 lbs now and you want to be 180 lbs., then say that. Write it down on a piece of paper and read it to yourself each morning. This solidifies your goal and keeps it in the front of your mind first thing in the morning. Throughout the day, if you are going to miss a workout or eat a bad meal when you shouldn’t, your goal will be on your mind. By keeping your focus on your goal, you can change your decision because missing your workout or eating the bad meal will simply delay achieving your goal.
